Brandon Lew, MD
Rheumatologist
Dr. Brandon Lew is a rheumatologist at Arthritis Center of North Georgia, seeing patients at the Gainesville and Watkinsville locations. He joined ACNG in 2026 following the completion of his rheumatology fellowship, bringing a thoughtful, patient-first approach to the care of complex autoimmune and inflammatory disease.
Dr. Lew grew up in Orlando, Florida, and has spent much of his training and career in the Southeast, a region he has come to call home. He earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, before completing his internal medicine residency at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, South Carolina. He then completed his rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible in rheumatology. He is affiliated with Northeast Georgia Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Piedmont Athens Regional, and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
His clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome, scleroderma, vasculitis, inflammatory myositis, polymyalgia rheumatica, giant cell arteritis, gout, osteoporosis, and juvenile arthritis.
Dr. Lew believes every patient deserves the time and space to discuss what matters most to them. His approach centers on listening carefully, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly, and building a plan together that fits each patient’s goals and lifestyle.
“I want every patient to leave their visit knowing their questions have been answered and that they have a clear understanding of the next steps,” Dr. Lew says.
He also wants new patients to know that it is okay not to have all the answers at a first visit. Rheumatologic disease can be complex, and his role is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and work with each patient to find the best path forward.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lew enjoys table tennis, traveling, and exploring local trails.
